Attention Middlesex Residents
New Fingerprinting Requirements
As of February 1, 2010 Middlesex
residents who require fingerprinting for volunteer work, volunteer
coaching, employment, adoption, peddlers licensing, local ordinance
requirements, or Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) requirements, will
have to contact Sagem Morpho. Sagem Morpho is a private licensed
vendor approved by the New Jersey State Police, contracted to conduct
all the fingerprinting that was once the responsibility of your local
police department. As a result applicants should receive more
efficient service since fingerprint returns should return in less
time.
In order to be fingerprinted for one of the above reasons, contact
Sagem Morpho Inc. to schedule an appointment at
www.bioapplicant.com or 1-877-503-5981. Information and
application forms are available from the New Jersey State Police at
http://www.state.nj.us/njsp/about/serv_chrc.html .
Firearms Fingerprinting Requirements:
Firearms fingerprinting will also be
done at Sagem Morpho, but Middlesex residents will need to complete
paperwork at Middlesex Police Headquarters before being
fingerprinted.
The Middlesex Police Department will
continue fingerprinting at headquarters for federal purposes,
volunteer fireman, rescue squad and domestic violence team members.
